I grew up beside chunky pixel heavy games and they've been a long standing inspiration to me as an artist. Slowly learning to paint, draw, and in time learn to paint with pixels has been an amazing experience.
I worked up the courage after seeing the above video, inspired by the loving use of pixel art to convey the time and story I really wanted to try my hand at something similar.

This is 2x the size of the original. I may return to do more like this some time; I've fallen in love with large pixel art paintings haha.
